How to play the real Wordle game

  1. Go to the Wordle website: https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html.
  2. You will see a 5×6 grid of blank squares.
  3. Type in a 5-letter word and press Enter.
  4. The letters in the grid will change color to indicate whether they are in the correct word, in the wrong word, or not in the word at all.
    • Green indicates that the letter is in the correct word and in the correct position.
    • Yellow indicates that the letter is in the correct word but in the wrong position.
    • Gray indicates that the letter is not in the correct word.
  5. You have 6 tries to guess the correct word.
  6. If you can’t guess the word after 6 tries, you lose.

Here are some tips for playing Wordle:

  • Start with a word that contains a variety of different letters. This will give you a better chance of guessing the correct word in the fewest number of tries.
  • Pay attention to the colors of the letters. This will help you narrow down your options and make better guesses.
  • If you’re stuck, try guessing words that are related to the previous words you’ve guessed. This can help you get closer to the correct word.
  • Don’t give up! Wordle is a challenging game, but it’s also a lot of fun. With a little practice, you’ll be solving puzzles in no time.
